Keynotes from Justin Crump and Sam Olsen

Justin Crump

Founder and CEO, Sibylline

Justin Crump is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Sibylline, which he established in 2010. Based in the UK, Justin leads the strategic direction of the company, drawing on his extensive background in intelligence and security. Justin’s leadership and industry expertise have formed Sibylline into a trusted, expert and professional partner to an ever-growing range of clients.

Justin’s career began as a front-office investment banker at JP Morgan Chase. However, after 11 September 2001, he transitioned to full-time military service as a tank commander, with operational experience in Afghanistan, Bosnia, Iraq and Kosovo. He also served as Aide-de-Camp to the 6th Duke of Westminster during his tenure as Assistant Chief of the Defence Staff. His private security experience includes time as Head of Intelligence at Stirling Assynt and as a security intelligence analyst with UniCredit. 

Justin holds degrees from the University of Durham and King’s College London (both UK) and is a graduate of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and the Joint Services Command and Staff College at Shrivenham. He was President of the Association of International Risk Intelligence Professionals (AIRIP) from 2021 to 2022 and continues to serve as a board member. His book, Corporate Security Intelligence and Strategic Decision Making, was published in 2015 and is a management science bestseller on Amazon. Justin is also a prominent defence and security commentator for the BBC and frequently appears on Sky News and Deutsche Welle, as well as in various global media publications, including as a columnist for the Sunday Telegraph, where he continues to demonstrate his own skills in intelligence analysis. He also regularly leads our high-level presentations to the boards of the world’s largest organisations and is a prominent public speaker, drawing on his extensive background in intelligence, leadership and global affairs. In addition to running Sibylline, Justin is a passionate aviator, flying a YAK-52, a Scottish Aviation Bulldog and a DA42 Twin Star.

Sam Olsen

Chief Analyst, Sibylline

Sam Olen joined Sibylline in May of 2025 as Chief Analyst. Based in London (UK), Sam is passionate about using data and technology to create insights into the biggest geopolitical issues of our time.

Sam is a seasoned geopolitical expert with a focus on great power relations and the changing world order.
